Metabolite Profiling of Rosemary Cell Lines with Antiproliferative Potential against Human HT-29 Colon Cancer Cells

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is a culinary and medicinal plant used in food pharmaceutical industry. The wide range of biological activities mainly related to phenolic terpenic compounds; like carnosic acid (CA), carnosol (CS) rosmarinic (RA), reported rosemary leaf extracts, recently described callus extracts. aim this work was investigate the chemical profile cell lines evaluate their antiproliferative potential against human HT-29 colorectal cancer lines. For purpose, explants were dedifferentiated on MS medium added with 2, 4-D (2, 4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid; 2 mg/L) BAP (6-benzylaminopurine; mg/L). Cell aggregates separated according colour three cultures established: green (RoG), yellow (RoY) white (RoW). extracts characterized by combining HPLC GC platforms coupled HR-MS/MS. activity line analyzed MTT assay. A total 71 compounds, including hydroxycinnamic hydroxybenzoic derivatives, flavonoids, di- triterpenes, as well relevant unsaturated fatty acids esters, phytosterols, carotenoids tentatively identified extract target test using assay revealed that viability colon cells affected after treatment RoW (IC50 49.63 ?g/mL) at 48 h. These results showed can also accumulate other bioactive phytochemicals demonstrated potential.
